Kinus Investments is a private investment management firm headquartered in Miami, founded in 2019. We focus on seed and angel investments in technology companies across the U.S. and Brazil.

Our story

Kinus was founded in 2019 to back the kind of technology companies its team had spent careers building, advising, and operating — companies where rigor, taste, and execution compound into something durable.

We invest at the seed and angel stages, with a tight focus on software, AI, fintech, marketplaces, and cross-border tech between the U.S. and Brazil. We bring decades of operating experience and a network that has been carefully built across both ecosystems.

We work with a small number of companies at a time so we can be genuinely useful — not just available between board meetings.

Thiago Narimatsu Felippe

Co-founder

Thiago Narimatsu Felippe, also known as TJ, brings a blend of investment management, investment banking, and technology operating experience to Kinus Investments. He is the founder and CEO of AIQON, a cybersecurity firm, and co-founder of Darkdome, another cybersecurity company, as well as KinderX, a company focused on children's physical and mental health and development. His professional background includes roles at Merrill Lynch, Anheuser-Busch InBev / Ambev, and Safra National Bank of New York. Thiago holds a degree in Economics, with a concentration in Mathematics and Political Science, from the University of Pennsylvania, earned a Dual Degree MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, and completed Harvard Business School's OPM 64 program in 2026. He also serves as a board member, is an angel investor, a member of Entrepreneurs' Organization, and a Fellow of Fundação Estudar, bringing a builder's perspective to capital allocation.

Beatriz H. Felippe

Co-founder

Beatriz Felippe, also known as Bia, brings a blend of entrepreneurship, operations, business processes, and data analytics experience to Kinus Investments. She is also the founder of KinderX, a company focused on children's physical and mental health and development. Beatriz studied Computer Science at SENAC and has professional experience in logistics, as well as business processes and data analytics from her time at Sonda Procwork. She also founded Petit Poupon, a highly regarded candy and chocolate supplier in São Paulo. Her background across technology, consumer businesses, children's wellness, operations, and entrepreneurship brings a practical founder's perspective to Kinus' investment approach.
